Chip's Challenge was originally for the lynx. I don't know how it compares to the pc version, but I'm assuming it's similar and therefore a good game.

California Games (oh that awesome surfing game)
Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure (pretty decent adventure)
Dirty Larry (difficult but fun)
Klax (best version around)
Rampage (still need to try linking up with 4 friends, got the lynxes but no fuckin friends!)
Road Blasters (great racing game)
S.T.U.N. Runner (now that was a great one)
Warbirds (used to play deathmatch against a friend in the late 90's shit was good)

i had a lynx. still have it. sadly a few months into ownership i dropped a quarter on its screen and it split it diagonally, so there's a big crack in the screen. only had four games, rampage, some game with a plane, california games, and something i can't remember. each of those three were fun. the world within the plane game felt big.

Can they do anything about the dodgy external power? Because that's the one thing I really hate the Lynx, you have to hold it perfectly still at a specific angle or it loses power.

haven't looked at the lynx for a while but isn't the screen a glass magnification panel over an actual lcd? just glass part broken on mine, so yes should be replaceable but haven't looked into it never modded a console

Slime World was amazing, worth the cost of the device and the twice a week six AA battery replacement. Have you played it comlynxed? It's really one of the greatest games of all time, it's so much fun, I only say this because of your parenthetical diminutive comment.

Slime World > Rolling Thunder > A Boy and His Blob > Super Mario Bros

Also you forgot arcade Rygar, arcade Ninja Gaiden, and Pac-Land. Lynx was the greatest portable gaming system of all time.
