I guess if you're still trying to go online with it. XP machines are fine if they aren't on the net. If you're still using xp then it is time for an upgrade. Win7 Pro has an xp mode that will let you run all that legacy software. I wouldn't even bother buying a key. I'd just grab a used device off craigslist on the cheap and get the key for it using nirsoft.

look, I know vista was shitty, I had it. But it came with some good stuff too, like GPU acceleration and DX10. And as with all windows, it could be trimmed down on the features.

XP literally had nothing over 2k except lego UI and shitty dog search.

I think you'll find it's gotten much better and extensive in recent years. I've got a couple old linux machines around the house still running strong. My machine I used to play everquest on when it was new runs linux great. I think it's mainly older nvidia stuff that can be wonky.

Anon last year i went online with a WIN98 machine and even posten here, XP doesn't have problems online.
