Kickstarter Complete.

All backers should have theirs.

I think the product was worth backing. The waiting time was just a very little bit beyond what I considered to be reasonable.

Those who have bought through the ArcadeWorks website are now the next ones to receive.

The newer boards do have the anti-lockout chip soldered to the board properly instead of being on a separate board.

Seemed cool, checked it out, £40 postage to England.

Made my own by taking the 72 pin connector from a GameGenie I got for £5.

Moved the cartridge tray above the housing and eposy puttied it together.

100% consistently working without my removing the lockout chip.

Only draw back is it's stiff to get games out, but it'll wear in. hopefully before it wears my cartridges out. Gonna try and break it in by repeatedly inserting and removing my spare copy of Mario Bros.

Not a shill.
In fact, I think the guy doing it was WAY in over his head with this one. This was meant to be finished 5-6 months ago. He wouldn't even reply to comments or PM's for months on end. But eventually he did catch up and reply within a day or two.

I would much rather have waited to buy them from the website now than backing the KS.

The BLW is also a bit grippy on the games.
About the same as a top-loader.
I hope they loosen with use.
Not a death-grip like my last Chinese-made 72-pin replacement though.

It's a great product, but they fucked up the Kickstarter bad. They also made it worse by "accidentally" selling some of the backer units on their website.

They also grossly misrepresented that some of the backer units had "shipped" by simply creating labels for them and not actually sending them out for a week (presumably, this was when they received the finished units from the factory).

The perils of being an early adopter, I guess.

I also wonder why the lockout chips came on a daughterboard initially, then ended up back on the edge connector PCBs...

That's kind of relieving to know. I would have loved to have bought a BLW and was worried that my DIY version didn't match up.

Mine kind of is a death grip. There is a pair of pliers with the teeth coated in eletrical tape labeled "NES" currently...
Hope I won't need them for too long.
