Really showed what the thing could do if the devs actually gave a fuck; I loved the little bits inspired by Super Mario World; the map with revisitable locations is a start, but they actually reproduced some very impressive (tech-wise) bits, like the shifting terrain layers and whatnot, pic related.
Plus, not everything is random rehashing of cool stuff from other games; some original concepts are pretty neat, like the auto-scroll scenes where you've got to keep pressing buttons to shift the screen back, or the very last level, where you've got to climb the moving wall and slide up and down to clear obstacles.
