Play Famicom games on NES?
I heard Pat the NES Punk talk about these Honeybee things and I was wondering whether or not I should pick one up. I want to start collecting Famicom games but dont want to import some yellow'd famicom. I know you can find converters in some Gyromites but I know those can be rare and expensive, what do you guys think?

These devices are called Honeybee adapters. In the OP pic, the word "Honeybee" is covered by a store sticker.

Yes, that's the Hudson bee. No, I don't think the makers of this adapter had a license to use it.

finding a converter is the best way to go, there are sites you can google search about how to look for them, and they come in alot more titles than gyromite as quite a handfull of 5 screw carts have a posibility to have them.

Also, yes, Gyromites is some what rare, but most of the other games with the adaptor in them are not, and despite what some people in the thread have already said, it's rather easy to figure out if the cart has one in it, if you can look at the cart before buying it.

Buy a fucking adapter instead you fucking fanboy muh haxx newbs. No hunting required and they're presentable as standalone units like in the OP pic. They have pull-ribbons built in. to make them easier to remove from front-loaders too.
