I recently found out that those Sega Genesis plug 'n play consoles were shit. Don't waste your money on them. You're better off buying a real one

I've seen them at several discount stores and I was tempted to buy one the other day discounted to $10

Also I've heard you can wire them up somehow to play Roms, but haven't been able to confirm.

Not him, but some models have SD card readers that can read ROMs provided they are .bin files.

Yup. Picked one up for $5. The built in games were emulated like shit. Put in Grind Stormer and watched in horror as the screen kept flicking on and off. Put it away and hooked my X'Eye back up. So much better.
