The Jazz games were LONG before the furry boom, DeviantArt wasn't even online yet. Stuff like Starfox Adventures and the 3D Sonics had a much clearer influence with their story bullshit.When Jazz and Jazz 2 were released nobody saw them as anything more than cute mascot platformers, especially as they were fairly underground hits anyway.

Loved the multiplayer mode as a kid, but never got invested in the single player mode enough to play it trough.

Alexander Brandon is the guy who inspired me to work towards becoming a VG composer one day, his work is absolutely elder god tier.

People are still playing Jazz 2 for its multi (albeit a heavily updated version). And it is only PC platformer with local split-screen from the 90s I can recall. Great game in every way.

You don't. JJ1 runs at fixed 60/70fps (depending on graphics mode). It's supposed to be that fast. That's why it was called "better than Sonic".

the second game was pretty good, i played the shit out of it in early 00's. first multiplayer experience too, played quite a lot of online matches soon after we got the first modem connection set up in the house. there were a lot of sick ms paint levels made in the editor scattered around

i never tried the first game though.
