that's a badass cover.

never played it but I've heard that game is flawed and frustratingly difficult. on the other hand, wizardry was very influential to the whole nerdfag d&d/final fantasy/RPG tradition.

Play Wizardry 5 first. They reduced the encounters that will fuck you over before you have a chance to act and rebalanced the classes.
It's even possible to export your party from 5 to Wizardry 1 or 2 in some versions.
