>>2767578>#1 way is to stop the meta-threads.Sorry if I sound dumb, but if you mean meta-threads as in those constant CRT threads that are here day in and day out for example, then yes. This.
>#2 way is to stop shitposting via actually having moderatorsYes, a handful of at least 4 that are impartial and competent would fix 95% of the issues that we seem to face here.
>#3 way is to stop getting BTFO when someone posts a non-retro game in a thread dedicated to a series. We get it, its a "retro board" but if you make a metroid thread, you're most likely going to naturally discuss the ones on GBA as well.Yeah, seriously. Make some elbow room for GBA games so long as they coincide with a game that's already being discussed. You guys that piss and moan about it sound a lot like /r9k/ accusing everyone of being a "normie" only you're doing it in a fashion that says
"REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE NOT RETRO!"
or
"RRRREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE UNDERAGE!!!"
Seriously, stop. Talking about GBA titles doesn't imply anyone's age nor will it violate the sanctity of the board. Especially with the state it's in now. It's not going to hurt you.
>#4: >>>/v/ should be a bannable offenseI dunno about this. There are some /v/ denizens that REALLY do come here thinking the same rules apply, but otherwise, yeah, I'm on- board.
Basically what this guy said.
Other than that, a simpler solution would be to not reply to obvious shit posters and baiters.
You could also just skip a thread if it's out of your taste, uninteresting or chalk-full of idiots having a sperg-fest.
I mean, I HATE those fucking CRT threads and how if you're not playing retro-games on one, you're met with hostility, but due to principle, I just skip them and don't post there. Hasn't done me any harm yet.
I get that it's 4chan, but basic common sense and etiquette should still apply SOMEWHERE. If you don't like something, move the fuck along or only engage with other anons that aren't being dumb.
tl;dr MODS
