Playing it right now. Gameplay is damn good but missions structure is a mess. Kinda hard to get invested in the story when it's like you're doing nothing but random little missions that trigger short cutscenes to slightly expand the story. It's definitely fun from a technically standpoint but I just wish it wasn't so slow. I don't like the open-world, episodic nature of the story. I miss the open levels and cutscenes.

The major twist has already been spoiled but not the little details so can't really give an answer to the ending just yet but, it does sound disappointing as well.

I liked it but it felt like it was missing content. There was supposed to be another mission (google mission 51) that would have made the ending quite a bit better i think. But the ending mission blew my mind. How did I not see it coming? Also why tf was battle gear a thing.

Beside that MGS fandom knew TPP ending before it came out - Kojima gave us a hint everywhere he could. :D
Also, Battle Gear was supposed to be another buddy, but there was a complication with it in terms of technical side of gameplay, so they just left it half finished.
