>>799624At the very least it has a much more engaging battle system than most MMOs. Positioning is quite important and every class has rotations. Healing can be a bit of a mess at times since you have to actively target allies (cant just target via party member number). Theres no skill trees, instead all skills have augments which can be toggled. Different ones have different costs and effects so thats how you primarily tweak your build.
Quest and levelling wise its quite "new age" in that you do just get railroaded to 60 (cap is 65) and then endgame starts which actually isnt that bad. Lots of dailies, dungeons with escalating difficulty and lots of gearing to do. Crystal slots let you add small amounts of stats to equipment which allow for further build variety.
For instance, when soloing you may prefer shorter cooldowns and higher movement speed to help farm quicker but in a party you can swap all that for maximum damage or increased aggro if you tank.
Not a lot to do outside of combat, however. There is crafting, but its very much click to create. Also crafting uses a points system (think stamina) so you cant just craft all day. Keeps the market in check but is a ball ache when trying to level it up. These points are also shared with gathering too, so you cant endlessly harvest mats to flog. That said, the world is really pretty if you can dig the high fantasy, high fashion, high elf tits everywhere so its kinda fun to just stop fighting and roam.
Cash shop exists so you can expect wacky out of place costumes, but theres nothing game breaking. Cash items can get sold on the in-game market, so you can usually buy anything you want from playing ..eventually. I think the only explicit advantage is that store bought mounts are about 20% faster and can grant hp/mp regen.
