I can see how it could be pretty crappy looking at the footage and reviews. Like the opening lines of the first trailer are all about how he isn't a celebrity or the son of a celebrity or anything about a celebrity. Why the hell did that coe up? Who the hell cares about celebrity if we're supposed to be talking about demons and magic and shit? The line had to come from someone who thinks themself a celebrity and better for it.

Has very light relation to the book series.
It's on Netflix
It was pretty good.
Like a 7/10 movie, above quality for what you'll find on Netflix
