If you run in a car, you can be charged for every turn you make, every car you pass, or signal/sign you run by.
when I arrest someone who took me on a car chase, I go back and look at the intersections with google maps and write tickets for every intersection and take mental notes (or just say out loud on my camera when he passes a car)
People wind up with thousands of dollars in fines and dozens of charges later after most car chases. Even if you get away, the owner of the car *assuming you didnt jack it off a street corner* is going to turn you in to get their car back.
