What about creepypasta writing, obvious fiction? Is that out of the question despite it being a mainstay of the board?
/x/ is the creepy board. If we're scared of it and it's weird, it goes here. Deep sea life is plenty weird and freaky. The ocean and the fear of it is well within the atmosphere of the board.
