Whats the scariest movie for an 8 year old to watch? He fell asleep during the grudge, said the ring was boring, and was only slightly weirder out by The 4th Kind but was not really scary to him. He has watched the paranormal activities and was not scared "it's just alot of jump scares" Please /x/ how can I scare my son? We live in the city so i don't know how movies like Wrong Turn would really do it.

Hellraiser fucked me up when I was his age for the longest time. As for books, Clive Barker's 'Books of Blood' anthology is seriously fucked up.

An American Crime. Harrowing movie, and, as a bonus, the movie also teaches a valuable moral lesson about how disgusting the human race is. It might be a good idea to teach him early that the world is evil, people are disgusting and he needs to watch the fuck out and trust no one or what happened to that girl could possibly happen to him.

> The universe began with the Big Bang > The universe will end with the Big Crunch, given enough Dark Matter > The Big Crunch will sustain enough kinetic energy that will result into another Big Bang > It's a never-ending series of Bangs and Crunches afterwards > It's was a never-ending series of Crunches and Bangs before > The Universe is a loop, running same set of events, over and over again > What is happening right now happened an infinite times before > And will happened again and again for all eternity

>>16911057 For all practical purposes this is true. However there is more to your environment than you are aware of. You simply do not have the senses to perceive everything around you, you are physically incapable. An example of this would be different wavelengths of radiation on the spectrum. All we perceive is what our body know. It is completely reasonable to suggest that everything exists in a giant spectrum which you are a part of at all different levels. However through the filter of your body you are focused on a tiny fraction of what exists.

Let's have a thread about vampires. Talk about folklore (both modern and traditional), potential for real vampires, stories, myths, etc.

>>16911186 those are minor nuisances at best. the sun won't burn them, they walk around during the day just fine provided they don't live in fucking LA, they can procreate as there are half-breeds, they don't seem to be damned or cursed in any way as religious symbols and so on don't bother them, they're invulnerable as stakes won't kill them, they don't go into a paralyzing sleep and "die" every morning, shit they don't sleep at all, they suffer no physical deformities but actually get more beautiful, and they can clearly survive on animal blood that they need rarely so no need to kill actual people. ineed, it's a horrible fate. that everyone would kill to be "cursed" with

>>16911165 Well having to kill humans it's enough downside for me, also immortality is a downside, you start to go nuts after a couple thousand years. The only one who didn't seem to mind that is that stupid Bella.

>>16911213 If you choose to live on animal blood you're weaker and have lame eyes, and your throat is constantly burning like hell. You're frozen in time at the exact same moment you were turned. If you're a woman and wanted to be a mother sorry no babies ever, let's say you're depressed, you stay depressed for eternity, or traumatized by rape like Rosalie.

>>16911444 that's always been a stupid argument. even if you do go insane after a few thousnads years, you just need to buy a fucking guillotine for when you're sick of life. or ask a vampire friend to chop you up, you're not actually UNKILLABLE. in the meantime, you get to live as a young man longer than anyone has any right to. also they don't kill humans

Halloween night I'm having a lil shindig. I'm thinking monday or tuesday night I might head to the site of the Ashtabula train disaster location (ohio) and also the graveyard where the bridge builder and the victims are buried. If so, anyone interested in live pics (and possible livestream if anyone has a good site that works on mobile)? Have had a few experiences at the graveyard.

The pop cultural cache of a zombie hordes and zombie survival picks up as the parallels with real rioting behaviour and civil unrest become more palpable.
