So, /x/, what are some good horror/sci-fi novels that don't involve ghosts or madmen? I've read Dracula, Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, Frankenstein, and other horror staples, but there doesn't seem to be much else other than stupid ghost stories. I found the novella that inspired The Thing, but I want to broaden my horror library.
Pic is the creature from the 1989 film, Leviathan. Film was panned by critics, but I personally loved it.
