I have mental problems (I'm on x so obviously). I'm interested in pictures, stories (whether real with evidence or just pasta), vidya, etc of people declining into madness. Just dark creepy psychological shit pertaining to mental illness. Psychosis, schizophrenia, general insanity, anything. Even wiki links to weird disorders. Maybe even people can share personal stories.

I will personally make brownies if anyone in this thread can name a mental disorder in the Western world that I've never heard of.

As far as stories/info, whatever, this isn't an interesting story, but since I was young I've felt/thought that I shared my body with two other spirits/souls/presences whatever and have talked to them and let them "possess me", though sometimes they've done it on their own :/ I made a thread about it yesterday actually.

The more I question authority and get into conspiracy theory, the more distant I feel from individuals, and I feel like I'm going to snap one day and wake up in a straight jacket rocking back and forth saying "THE GOVERNMENT MAN, THEY'RE TRACKING US WITH THE CHIPS IN OUR BRAINS..."

Seriously I feel like everyday I get closer to this, does this happen to anyone else?

I'm also a psych major so we tend to absorb what we learn and try to apply it to ourselves erroneously

I lacked emotion and was vulnerable to a demon

A demon is just a medication of emotions into a state of mind that eventually gets its own voice and sometimes image

I wouldn't have realized this if I did not first find God and God's revealed this information to me

So I propose the demonic possession is much more commonplace as it is explained by mental illness which is basically what it is

God freed me from my possession as I promised to dedicate my life to God and I became enlightened

So yes I was mentally ill and I still may be, but at least not, I feel at peace, not at war

When i was psychotic i had a drlusion that there was a cult of englishmen after me. I would hear their voices constantly condescending me in my head and they would slowly be figurong out where i live. They told me they are thelepathic illuminati or some shit, and one day they did figure out where im at. At night i was about to fall asleep when i started having tactile hallucinations of people touching me, and i looked up and all i saw around me were like shadows of people and i heard this horrible fucking screeching/drumming in the background. They told me that if i went to sleep, they would take over my body and jump out of the window. I dodnt sleep for 72 hours necause of that, which made the hallucinations worse, and then i passed out on a bus. I woke up and i was no longer scared of the wnglishmen, i thought theyatole me and now i was a cyborg clone of myself. I believed thatthe englishman ran apple (the computer and iphone company) and that they stole my body to create a masaive network of interconnected computers. That lasted for like 5 months and then i went on antipsychotics.
Proudly off any antipsych meds for a year now. No hallucinations (well, not intended hallucinations. Texxnically magick is hallucinations)
What was interesting about my case, was that in my core i knew i was hallucinating and that wasnt reality, but ny brain was kind of living on its own and i couldnt help but be scared or feel the things i felt. Really strange feeling. Even after the hallucinations and delusions initially stopeed i dealt with intense derealization because of the experiences.

Other times, if I don't move things in my room/kitchen/etc my brain starts to tell me that they are made of plastic and all one peice. Example pen on book on dresser on carpet, it's all one peice of plastic, cut out and painted, not wood, paper, artificial fibers and whatever the hell that stuff is made of

So im guessing youre experiencing derealization, in some sort of intensity. My theory is that derealization is connected to the brains adapting potential. The brain adapts to any situation. If you spend alot of time on the internet or reading books and studying, instead of talking and being wuth others, the brain begins ti adapt to the enviroment perceiving it as more real than the outside world.
That is a personal theory and has worked for me so far. It explains why people who are generally lonely, book/internet addicts, and people who experience psychosis develop derealization.
Try spending some time with friends without any use of internet or just walk around the city in a budy, public space. Try to look at people and just enjoy.

Well the cause is technically the same.
I believe psychosis is simply the sunconcious activity that allows us to interpret symbology and dream becoming constantly concious. Ive noted this since i had known a few people who were paychotic and when they were ill, they were excellent dream interpreters, beyond excellent actually. And freud and jung both noted that some psychosis start with a dream that includes the drlusiins the patient later develops
I believe the root cause is that, and the symptoms include paychosis (drlusions, hallucinations) and derealization
But since derealization can occur on ots own, i can conclude that derealization has to be linked to something else, which i believe to be our brain adaptation capability.

It's another sci-if thriller/space madness one.

In it, a second team of scientists attempts to save the sun from burning out and saving the earth from perpetual winter. Shit hits the fan when they run into the ship of the first crew/first attempt.

It's a slow burn *ba dum tish* but it's got plenty of back-stabbery, sabotage, suicide, murder, craziness/obsession, etc. towards the end. Not too shabby for a 2007 film too.

Basically, I've been hearing voices in my head for fucking years. Since I was 11 years old,. actually. I had an "event" that basically broke my mental state, and I started hearing Jack. My very first voice in my head (other than my own, I mean).

Jack was actually replaced with Al, who was a giant asshole, but everything was pretty level for years.

Along the way, I started having explosive, violent rage attacks and had no memory after the fact.

More recently, I've had spells where I'll pass out, I'm having visual hallucinations and my memory is just not all that great anymore. Also, I forgot to mention that I have thought that I'm god for about the past 6 years or so, and there's more than 12 voices in my head now, and some of them can control me.

Probably some kinds schizo shit, but whatever. Eventually, it'll kill me, and all will be right with the world again. Just hope my son doesn't have it too.

After this experience I got a huge fascination with siphonophorae and hiveminds, got delusions of this whole world being a huge experiment, and believed that my life was in some way connected to something very significant in the future

today I'm diagnosed as schizophrenic

My grandpa got Alzheimers and would do weird stuff like waking up in the middle of the night repeating that he had to go to work.

He would actually get up and sit down again repeatedly until at one point he lost the ability to walk. but would keep trying to get up and fall down one time, then we secured his bed and it wasn't so bad except he would mumble random things about people. One day the cat jumped on the bed and he tried to choke the damn thing, at least i was there to stop him.

On his deathbed he mustered all his conscience and told us he was gonna die in 2 days. And he did.

Your metaphor is bad and you should feel bad. It is true that intense dissociation isn't necessarily DID though. I have intense dissociation from time to time but not quite DID I don't think. I'm suffering from disruption/violent OCD quite a lot at the moment though.
