OP if you want to follow satanism read Anton LaVey's "The Satanic Bible" which pretty much recommends a lifestyle of doing what's best for yourself but not being an asshole for no reason.
Also, it uses Satan as representation of anti-Christian ideals, not as an entity himself so if you're looking to worship the Lord of all darkness or something like that you're looking in the wrong place.

I have three copies of War and Peace. One is very literal, on captures the meaning pretty well, and one takes a bit too much liberty.

Translations of the bible can't take liberties on what to allow or disallow on sabbath, if the book originally says: do not do business, there is no reason to add everything else.

That's not a problem of faultily translating but a problem of wanting to give people trouble.

For a reader this is no problem FOR A FOLLOWER OF THE LAW IT IS A HUGE PROBLEM.

This is a problem for the one that actually keeps the commandment.
