>>16884035I never said I didn't have fun, or that it wasn't cool. It's an incredibly unique place.
I said every time I've gone there someone in my group has experienced a degree of emotional/spiritual oppression while there.

>>16884018It's nothing huge; no blinking lights in the sky or sleep paralysis or anything exotic. Any time I've been there with a group, someone, (or 2-3 people) have had either horrible dreams or intense, acute bouts of depression or a sense of isolation or rejection that came onto them as if from nowhere and were incredibly powerful. This usually happened after visited downtown proper and came back to our cabin/house/whatever in hendersonville or someone within half an hour of ash. It felt as though a kind of darkness had followed us back. In one instance, I had to sit outside with a friend who'd NEVER experienced a dramatic/panicky kind of thing while she worked through it. In another a friend got upset about something trivial (which normally would not have bothered them) and we spent almost 2 hours walking around this farm/pond place we were staying to track em down. Like I said, it's nothing HUGE, just something happens everytime, and it's always a different person, and usually completely different groups that don't know each other I go with.
I -personally- only feel an intense sense of oppression while in or near the city. I can elaborate on that term, but some of you may know what I mean.
