Ok guys.

I've been working at Volvo for 15 years. I started as a maintenance guy and now im a test engineer.

I've driven tons of Volvo cars, I've fixed all of Volvo cars. I know everything about Volvo.

And the fucking logo suddenly changed.

I Tell you, it was NEVER A MALE SYMBOL, IT WAS ALWAYS JUST A CIRCLE WITH VOLVO IN IT

I've also researched about it a bit, there's questions by other people about the logo change but apparently the logo never changed for 80 years

As a child you probably thought "South" America should be right under "North" America, because words. Also, people always talk about it being under North America (it kinda is), and if you didn't look at maps often your memory could shift to that.

Also, different types of map distort the world's appearance in various ways, it's possible you saw one that kinda shifted it to appear more directly under.

I am 100% fucking certain that they used to say "Piracy... is a crime" and that made me think that it would've sounded better to say "Piracy... It's a crime"

After that, I noticed that it had changed to the exact sentence that I thought would be an improvement.
First I thought that I must've remembered it incorrectly, but I'm fucking positive that it changed.

I tried looking up the first version, but apparently it "never existed". Fucking bullshit, I *KNOW* it did.

Well, I would assume that if our consciousness was comprised of any amount of energy on a quantum scale, it would be recycled.

I would also assume that it would be recycled into the closest relative universe into which it can be assimilated with another form of consciousness without many repercussions.
As you can tell, I'm no genius, so I could EASILY be wrong, but it is possible in some theoretical senses.

I'm almost positive that someone or something has changed the original timeline. As a kid I used to get dreams that would help me predict the future. I don't get them anymore unfortunately (to be honest I think it's porn, it wasn't until I started looking at the stuff that I stopped having them), but the last few I got showed things that should have happened but never did. Well, this is bullshit.
But for discussion's sake, assuming there are infinite universes/realities/whatever, I always thought that if you were to "shift" that it would be more likely you switch to one extremely similar to your origin than one radically different.
For example, say you shift: You'd cross over into one where everything was the same except for one small detail, like you watched Friends instead of jacking off one day in July. As opposed to it crossing over to a reality in which dinosaurs never went away or in which you never existed, etc.
(Maybe it happens but is rare?)
As far as what triggers it, maybe it's just a random fuckup, maybe its you dying in your original spot, maybe there is no sense to it at all.

Again, it's obviously all bullshit but the theory of infinite universes (tho I think I'm using the term "universe" incorrectly) is a neat one. Even if shifting was a real thing human memory is far too reliable to be able to "prove" anything.

Well, it's the argument from a standpoint of either:

I personally think it's more logical to propose that it's natural systems, such as how entropy works. It's natural and abides by universal laws.

The change of a symbol isn't really "the point", the "point" here is that our consciousness remains intact despite these changes.
Be it the death of us during sleep, a life changing decision, or another circumstance you were unaware of that could've lead to your death; yet you're still here.

The reason as to why these changes are so insignificant, are to maintain coherence.

Think of our consciousness as a tuning fork, now, this tuning fork when adjacent to a similar tuning fork, will cause it to vibrate and resonate with the hum of it's tune.
The same applies here, it's what we can resonate with, in this metaphor.

Now, following this idea, our consciousness is this tuning fork, and with certain decisions, ideas, and possible life destinations, another reality is more our tune; we resonate with another slightly altered, but nearly the same reality (as to accommodate this newly found resonance).

Where the other version of yourself that did make said decision, merged with the other timeline that your consciousness resonated with.

Well, let's make some observations.
These mandela effects are spread across a large portion of consciousnesses.
For some, reality is the same, for some, reality is different.
I.E. these shifts can occur in batches of consciousness.
There is an original reality, and there is a new reality that has existed.

Some report these shifts after an NDE, after sleeping, or consciously willing something to happen.
I.E. shifts can occur due to conscious actions (willing something to happen), or due to natural systems (NDE/sleeping).

However, why do batches of consciousness shift?
This is a bit perplexing, and delves into an idea of collective consciousness.

It would span quite a few people, not just /x/, as this is a wide spread phenomena.

Although, if we're in a type of simulation (brain in a vat), this would be the most logical conclusion to a mass change in conscious preconceptions.

This is sort of throwing a bunch of theories together (50AD/Matrix/Religious), and I'm sure anyone who doesn't like the religious tones, can come up with some sort of spin off theory for a matrix being controlled by aliens or something.
As for the theory we're living in 50 AD that Philip K Dick discusses, I first heard about it when I watched the movie "Waking Life", which is really interesting for those who like to think about things, and really should be watched a few times. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Waking_Life
The idea that was discussed, is we're all living in 50 AD, where Jesus Christ has just died on the cross, saving us, allowing us to have eternal lives if we choose to follow Him, but Satan/evil is trying to get us to forget this with an illusion of time. In effect, time is just us being asked if you choose to follow Him or not, and our life is just saying "no", "no", "no" until you say "yes".
This is from the wiki about Waking Life: "The protagonist's final talk is with a character who looks somewhat similar to the protagonist himself and whom he briefly encountered previously, earlier in the film. This last conversation reveals this other character's understanding that reality may be only a single instant that the individual interprets falsely as time (and, thus, life); that living is simply the individual's constant negation of God's invitation to become one with the universe; that dreams offer a glimpse into the infinite nature of reality; and that in order to be free from the illusion called life, the individual need only to accept God's invitation."

(The Thirteenth Floor is another good movie on this) But if our reality is one earth shaped holodeck, then we can still have the appearance of the passage of time, and of death, and new life. Time could really be something we have no clue of in the larger scheme of things.
So, I've often wondered what could explain the differences between people remembering one Mandela Effect versus another. I don't agree that we're in multiple universes. We could be, but I don't believe so. If the timeline was changed, why don't we remember the same MEs, and why do some not experience them?
If this world is Satan or evil trying to make people forget about the Lord coming back, and he or they want to trick people into forgetting about Him, they're doing a great job so far. But maybe, just maybe, Jesus is coming back sooner than later, and the MEs are signs for people. Specific signs to get people's attentions. Even if you're not Christian right now. This could be why you experience different MEs than someone else. Something you paid attention to, is how He will try to wake you up to the deception.

I know I talked about a lot of stuff, but maybe someone will find it an interesting theory. I'm not saying I believe this is the only theory or anything. Just trying to figure out why some people have different MEs than other people, even though some MEs coincide, because I don't believe in that death in one universe means you go into a new one. As you'd be killing the "you" from that universe, which is doing that same thing essentially. So that theory just doesn't make sense to me. And changing the timeline doesn't make sense if certain people do remember it the other way, instead of all people remembering it the "wrong" way.

You miss that there's consequences with such a change and with the butterfly effect it wouldn't be only netherlands location that is different in the history books. The way the tectonic plates moved in his universe would have to be very different as well.

The way I see it, if this theory is a real thing then you are a better, stronger version of you than the you that you replaced and the reality that you were shifted into is a better, stronger reality than the one you left. The more and the stronger of these anomalies you experience chances are the better your life is than it would have been in the reality you left.

That's my theory anyway - would you guys say that's accurate? Those of you that are perceiving a lot of these is your life not actually somewhat better than you might have expected it to go back then? Just keep it to yourself so you don't get institutionalized and hope that no superior version of you pushes you out of existence - though you might not even realize it happened.
