/x/, I wish to start a new group with folks from this board as members. Here's the catch: the other group forming on this board is all inclusive and public. This will be a small, 7 member group.
I want any applicants to have at least some occult/magick experience, you need not be a master at your school of magick, but at least know a bit over the basics. This is not an educational group, though we will grow with one another as we learn.
Applicants will send me an email at this address, and await further instructions. There will be several layers of questions applicants will go through, and those who make it until the end will become a part of the group. This thread will be posted until we fill every member, of which I will be one.
So, six of you will be joining. Many will be applying.
Together, I hope to combine the skills of members with different occult based skill sets, mostly magickally based, and use it to further large scale goals that the group will form in general consensus.
There will be no leader. Once every member is selected, I will add them to one email, and we will find another medium to communicate on, most likely skype chat. I will keep my identity as the former of the group secret, so my word holds no weight above others.
If you plan to join, plan for long term membership. We will, years in the future, meet for rituals.
This group will not be spoken of on /x/. Obviously someone will leak the questions. This is fine.
Applicants email me at
[email protected] And await reply with further questions. Use an email you check often. Failure to reply within twenty four hours to the questions will most likely result in removal of application.
I will be sending out the first round of questions around 1am CST.
I will repost/bump this thread until 6 members are found. Apply with intent of deep bonding with your fellow 6.

I feel it is necessary to start an educational thread in which people with no experience may learn in their best interests. A non-specific knowledge of any type, including that of paranormal knowledge in my case. Why not start it now?

>>16882561 That's fine. Your group accomplishes one purpose, the one I'm setting up will be much more specific and exclusive. It accomplishes another purpose.
bangbang !GRlU5obJt2
Just a heads up. There are groups that have existed like this and exclusivity can be a weakness and a strength. There's also the bias of the person creating the group. Just consider that. I've been apart of a couple and made one of my own. In the other thread I suggested an IRC channel. With that you can create password protected moderator rooms that spin off of the main one as well as have PMs and registered usernames.

I don't want to mod two /x/ spin offs. There's also an /x/philes IRC.
But what I'm finding is the communities balance out better than they do in a micro skype environment.
I'm using the
sorcery.net server and /x/philes uses
rizon.net Our link has an online IRC client so no download, there's more than one.

This feels wrong to me. Bear in mind, I'm not a practitioner; I'm way too suspicious of the motives of disembodied, possibly non-human entities almost inevitably encountered in occult pursuits. Like every occult story ends up with those, and then most, even the greats like Crowley, or Dee who make contact and achieve results (supposedly) end in tragedy or washed up misery. What I'm saying here isn't a judgment on you, merely stating my reasons why I've never pursued practice. But I'm really interested in the occult, and have studied it for a long time. The whole "apply until we fill all the slots" approach just feels wrong in the spirit of at least western (hermetic, druidic) tradition, if not general esoteric practice. It feels like playing connect four instead of finding a the right key and turning the lock. Maybe that's your attitude, democratize it, but it still feels off somehow.
Anonymous
>>16883807 The application process is going to take me months to complete. some members will be found tonight, if only one. Others will be added as time goes by and more people apply.
I am finding the six appropriate keys. I know what I'm looking for.
Anonymous
>>16883810 Like I said, I don't practice, so I can't judge objectively.
But it's a free country so I can note personally that if I were a free thinking occultist, I would frankly balk at the idea of jumping through hoops to prove my esoteric knowledge to someone else. I wouldn't be satisfied with submitting myself to someone else's conceptual strictures just for the "privilege" of a coven. It's like breaking with society to become a pirate and then turning privateer for the queen.
But hey, what do I know, I'm just a pleb =P
Anonymous
>>16883826 I'm not treating it as a privilege as much as I am being choosy about who gets in. It'll be an all-members-equal thing once it gets going.

Let me help you out, friend- rituals are complex methods of tricking your mind into manifesting something in reality. The more people you have focused on that one particular aspect of reality, the more potent the "spell" or "ritual" will be. All it takes is faith that what you are focused on making happen will happen, and it will. Magic is useful to begin with, but it is a trap to be totally consumed by it- do not be deluded, there is a reason Vudouisants call spells "tricks." They're literally tricks- on your subconscious. You have the power within you, you've just got to realize it. As it was written on the walls at the Oracle at Delphi- Know Thyself!

But no one's paying you to think here, so I understand the lack of thought put into your reply.

Shut the fuck up OP. You did all of this to yourself. Now your chatter is just annoying and I look forward to seeing this thread slip off the page. Do not come back. Go ahead and rush all your applicants through now and tell them "congratulations you're in" before they back out, because we all know that's what sadfags like you do once their sandcastles have been smashed.

Op is blind to a perceptual reality. Now I know he's fake and is not devoted. Steering clear of this group. I'd watch your back OP, dabbling in subjects that one is ignorant in can lead to terrible fates.

Meh, your thread is always dead, but if you still want to argue - you're going beyond making people sign up for username and passwords. You're literally making them go through an application process as if they're a janitor.... On 4chan, everyone is invited to read and post. Everyone can be a part of /x/. Your exclusive club bullshit is a joke for many reasons, but this thread just keeps adding more.
