>>16884473I'm asking because I have had a stuffed animal since I was a little kid. I got it from my parents, as a kid I used to talk to it, move it to make it act like it was sentient, and even used to carry on conversations with it. but it never felt like i was directing the stuffed animal to do these things or respond, it just simply did.
I have always slept with this stuffed animal in my bed, always. It because a habit after I noticed that as a kid I'd have bad dreams if I didn't (Nightmares essentially). Nowadays I have fantastic dreams, and almost never have nightmares., recently however, circumstances have forced me to not sleep with the stuffed animal in my bed, and my dreams have been screwed up, incomprehensible, and i have been having nightmares a lot more frequently. I've always viewed the stuffed animal as the reason for not having bad dreams, like a protector, and every once in a while, he'd get too full of the nightmares and I'd have to suffer through one. but that was once every 2-3 years. I'm wondering if me superimposing this "protector" talking to it and interacting with it to the point where it seemed to have it's own personality resulted in a Tulpa and my lack of good dreams and even restful sleep is due to our seperation.
