>>16884488Fuck yeah, me too. Athens has it's weird parts, but not like it used to.
In Lexington, between Broadway and Versailles Rd there's a half-way hidden road just called The Ln. It's got a city street sign, but there are private property signs all over and the neighborhood is walled off. There's a silo covered in really fucked up graffiti right in the middle of this one-lane street.
If you head west on Loudon Ave. and just keep going, through the ghetto, the road will end at Whitney Rd. turn right and there's a Cemetery, and right before it, there's a vacant lot. There used to be a house on that lot, and a guy flipped his shit in the late 90s, dug up some bodies, and made sculpture out of them in the house. I saw what was left of the house in 2002. There were gnomes and shit hanging on all the pillars and the walls were all half knocked down.
Go north on Georgetown Rd, through Georgetown, and just keep going. At about Corinth there's a restored vintage Shell station out in the woods. The sign is all busted up so from one side it looks like it says "HELL" and the other side looks like "13". There's an altar behind the building. Found animal bones on it one night.
If I think hard enough, I probably know quite a few murder houses and other shit. There are guided ghost tours downtown too.
