>>16885943THIS! is the best advice you will receive in this thread. To it I'd ad fasting as well as yoga, and practicing lucid dreaming/AP/OOBEs. This is not something you will be able to do immediately, it takes practice. Be patient.
For those who find traditional meditative techniques somewhat "boring" or difficult, I'd suggest looking into "ecstatic" meditation/dance.
>>16885966I have been experimenting with various binaurals and the like for a couple of years now; I was originally inspired to use them by reading Robert Monroe's books. I've come to a couple of conclusions that I think may be helpful to some, when taken as advice:
First of all, every person is different! What works for you may not work for someone else; everybody reacts differently. Yes, there are a majority of people who will receive similar effects from one specific tone, of course, but what it's important to realize that what you read - the information about these frequencies - is not the law. Experimentation is important, you need to find what works best for you. This takes TIME, have patience =)
I've also found that QUALITY seems to play a HUUUUGE part in the resulting effects. I'd say well-over 75 - 80% of binaurals found on Youtube and similar websites are either rendered completely useless through some sort of compression the files undergo during uploading(just a guess!) or perhaps it's just that, as with most everything on Youtube, when literally *everyone* has access to such a forum, well, quality slides; people who don't know what they're doing can upload whatever they want, using whatever claims they please.
If you're still having a difficult time finding binaurals that work for you, I'd recommend looking into "sound healing" audio and tribal percussion instead. These affect the body and mind similarly to many binaurals, but there's less of a sort of "learning curve".
