I made the mistake of going to r/skinwalkers and r/fleshgait since I wanted more of these stories, and they're the only ones who call them "fleshgaits", and they quickly correct people who call them skinwalkers. I'm inclined to believe that the faggots on that site coined the name "fleshgait" because they were offended that we culturally appropriated the name "skinwalker", or some other gay shit.

"Fleshgait" just sounds like something Reddit coined.
