Does the government hire shills to post on 4chan? Is there any evidence of this that isn't hearsay?

To what end would they hire shills? Does anything productive ever arise out of 4chan discussion?

Are all shitposters funded by the government, or do some do it for free. What is the government's interest in funding something like Baneposting?

If some people are willing to shitpost for the sake of amusement, boredom, catharsis etc, why pay anybody to shitpost at all?

I think people are so on-board with the idea of shilling because it makes them feel important. Its always the same circular reasoning:

It also gives a handy excuse to invalidate another poster without addressing the content of their argument.
