>>16891383>>16891467>>16891519These three show Satan's escape from Hell as depicted by Milton's "Paradise Lost".
Satan gets to the Gate of Hell & finds The Creator has left two guardians as a trap/guard. One is Sin, Satan's daughter. She's human atop, fish/serpent below -- her womb infinitely fertile, spawns endless packs of dogs. The dogs can't be born via Sin's fish half so they rip themselves out of her belly, over and over, generation after generation, forever & ever.
The real killer however, literally, is Sin's first born, ever hungry Death. Death has not existed before. Note how The Creator didn't kill Lucifer ( now Satan in Milton's telling ), nor were Satan's followers killed - just exiled. Death didn't exist yet. The Creator's plan seems to have been that if some demon tries to leave Hell it will encounter Death & think it's just another fight. But a tangle with Death will kill Death's opponent. Cute move there Creator.
In "Paradise Lost" Sin stays Death's hand long enough for Satan to make a deal. If Sin and Death do not oppose him he'll lead them to the new world Satan is off to investigate, the world soon to be peopled by the children of Adam and Eve. Satan promises Death all the humans he could ever want to feed Death's hunger. Every human to be will be Death's sup in the end if Satan is allowed to exit Hell. Death goes for the deal, Satan and Death take off for Earth. Sin tags along, what else to do? Her job as Gatekeeper is kaput anyway.
"Paradise Lost" by Milton, great /x/ read. Very twisted. Alas, knee-jerk Fedoras will be scared of it on principal, and it's not in three word green text phrases so it's beyond the grasp of Millennials, but for everyone else it's a great read.
