I live in Guadalajara, Mexico. Near in the north of Jalisco there still exists the ancient culture of the Wixarikas (aka Huicholes).
Months ago they came to the city, and made a hikuri's (peyote) ceremony. During the ceremony many stranges things happened. I used to smoke a lot of weed, so the hikuri didn't hit really hard (even i took 4 slices) but eventually I started to FEEL.
At first I felt like my whole body was burning but not in a painful fire, more like peace. Then I started to meditate, and I started to imagine myself walking around everyone in the cremony, until someone I told to the person next to him, that somebody or something walked beahind them, in that moment I woke up, because I heard them, and I was walking behind them in mind.
Then many other things happened, but what impress me the most is that I felt a moment that I was talking inside my head, with the Wixa next to me, and strangely when we finished our "talk" we looked each other in the eyes.
After the ceremony, while days passed I started to "hear" other people thoughts, and started to talk with them, and even changing the flow of that conversation just thinking about me.
Other day, I felt I was going nuts, crazy, out of mind, so I laid down my bed, and started to talk with the wixas,(through telepathy, because in their philosophy we're all connected by the same heart) asking for a Marak'ame (Wixa's white shaman) so I can resolve my doubts and ask about these feelings. Days after that "communication" I recieved the news that there would be another Hikuri's ceremony, in 2 weeks, and a Marak'ame would come, coincidence I don't think so... Many other ancient cultures believed in so, as the mayas, or even other cultures with access to entheogenes (Inner-god creation drugs)...
So /x/ what do you think, you believe in telepathy as something normal, or just for a few? or it is drug induced? Is it a real ability or is a mental illness?
