Hey /x/, I'm interesting in learning about the Free Masons history and their ties with the Illuminati.

I've herd they have possible ties with the Knights Templar and that the Templar found some gnarly shit in Salmons Temple.

Any good books, videos or PDF's to get a good idea of the real history?

I also enjoy the batshit theories about them as well.

Freemasonry for Dummies by Chris Hodepp is actually a good place to start, despite the name. Covers a lot of ground.
Video wise, there's the typical tepid History Channel, Nat Geo, Channel 4 type docos on youtube, but you'll probably get more out of the Louisiana Grand Lodge channel, Masonic Roundtable, or United Grand Lodge of England channel.

If you want batshit theories, though, i can certainly give you some books on those...

I have a question for you.

I was initiated a few months ago, but soon after felt the worst anxiety of my life. I'm not entirely sure why, but I ended up leaving Freemasonry. It is still haunting me. I didn't think what I went through was bad or anything, but I guess it wasn't what I expected from when I joined. It was, for some odd reason, traumatic to me.

I personally think it's because of my personality. I believe that the same affect would have happened to me, if it was any other initiation. I tried talking to the other members(which they were happy to help) but couldn't relate to what I was going through.

I'm just wanting your opinion on why I feel so dreadful now about it.

P.s. I've also ended up reading a book about the history of Freemasonry, and most of the esoteric stuff, I believe in.

Well its quite simply the temple that solomon built
it does not exist anymore
it was on the temple mount
and no the templars did not find "some gnarly shit" in it since it was destroyed before the templars even existed

I guess it's different for other men. I personally felt like becoming part of something bigger. Other men do it because their dads were Masons.

The first step is to ask.
It takes a while for the process, but all you need to do is go to one of their dinners, get to know some of them. And then you will be interviewed be 3 members. They interview you to see if you're worthy of being a member(they don't want psychopaths to taint the fraternity), and then they vote. After that you get an initiation date.

All my life I heard they were called Stone Masons or Gold Masons did a reality shift happen where they started being called Free Masons? Hell I was talking to an old person and she referred to them as Gold Masons.

i'm a mason. that link is legit. but the restricted section is just a bunch of old, sometimes outdated info. a lot of the phrasing is completely different. anyways the guy got that username and password off a youtube video about the deep web lol. i know cause i watch the same youtube show, and he just posted it like 2 weeks ago.
