>The smoothness and regularity of the rotation and camera movements, similar to the way CGI cameras normally lookSurprise! Turns out the rotation of the Earth, nor the motion of the ISS, is particularly turbulent. When was the last time you saw the Sun or the Moon jitter around due to "space turbulence?"
>The stillness and flatness of the land, light patterns and cloud layer, similar to flat textures on a sphereSurprise! Turns out that on the scale of entire continents, things stay pretty still once you're zoomed out that far, and aren't very lumpy compared to the scale of the whole Earth. Even cloud patterns are almost static on the continent scale, as much as they fluctuate on the much smaller scale of a few miles.
Nor do city lights change all that much at that scale - once you're zoomed out that far, thousands of people would have to decide to turn off their lights all at once, without anybody else deciding to turn their lights on, to make a noticeable difference.
And the fact that the land stays pretty still should be itself obvious.
>It just doesn't look very realisticWhat do you think it should look like, then?
